We are back from our exhausting but super fun trip to Disney World! Since George is now working for Disney we get free annual passes to all the parks and discount on the hotel rooms. Ok, I think I will multiple posts about our trip. I will start at the beginning of our trip. We flew out on Thanksgiving day and went to Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge to stay. What an amazing hotel. We woke up to seeing giraffes, antelope, ostriches, African cranes from our hotel balcony. Nothing like watching giraffes while laying on a hotel bed. In the morning at 7 the African crane would make really loud noises (we said he was our African rooster). One night the hotel had night vision goggles to watch the animals-unfortunely that night all the animals were hiding because it was too cold.
The first theme park we visited was Animal Kingdom. We all really enjoyed this park. There was a safari ride that would take you through the savannah so you could see the animals. But the kids favorite was Expedition Everest a pretty fast rollercoaster- more than I had expected since Disney rides are usually pretty tame. The tree of life was also pretty neat.
Tree at our hotel-it was so huge!! We could not get the whole thing to fit in the photo.
Jenna on the safari ride-one of these rhinos came really close to the safari vehichle.
In front of the Tree of Life-it had all kinds of animals carved into it.
View of the animals from our balcony.
Inside the lobby of hotel.
Jenna eating breakfast while watching the animals.
We called this Jenna's crane-she loved it (it was the one that made lots of noise)
