12th Man Craziness! I just thought I would share with everyone the pure craziness of the Seahawks fans here in Washington. Even prior to the Seahawks going to the Superbowl the Seahawks fans were absolutely amazing. You can not go any where with out seeing people wearing their Seahawks clothes (Doctors office, Costco employees, teachers, students) on game days. Then add them going to the Superbowl and we got a whole new level of Seahawks craziness. Jenna's dance teacher is one of the Seagals cheerleaders so her dance studio was really excited that her teacher got to go to the Superbowl.
Our 12th man cookie cake for Superbowl party-
we ate this while listening to all the neighbors lighting off fireworks every time the Seahawks got a point.
Last week was the Seahawks parade in downtown Seattle. I was the mean mom who made my kids go to school but they did not do much in class since too many students were missing along with many teachers. Many teachers streamed the parade in the classrooms. My school had 146 students absent-the Seattle school district had 13,000 students and over 500 teachers absent. Our district sent out an email saying they could not approve all the leave requests because there was a substitute shortage.
Over 700,00 fans waited several hours in 20 degree weather to get a glimpse of their Seahawks. George got to watch the parade from the warmth of his office that over looked the parade route-he said it was pure craziness. These fans are truly the 12th man!
Now they have 4 more fans.

As a diehard Bronco fan, I was humiliated by their pathetic performance in the game. That said, I appreciate the fan support that Seattle and surounding cities give to the "Seachickens". Since Pete Carroll coached for USC, I can't ever give him credit, but he did have them ready to play!
