Lily the Pug

Bridging to Juniors

Image
Last week marked the end of Jenna being a Brownie Girl Scout. She bridged to Juniors. All the girls got to walk over the Bothell Landing bridge and had a great celebration. Jenna has been in Girls scouts since she was a kindergartner (Daisy Scout). She has the best leaders and group of girls that are in her troop. We are so happy for her.

Totem Falls tradition

Today was our last day of school. It was originally supposed to be Monday but we had 3 make up days from snow and flooding. I played a little hooky from work so I could go to school with the kids. Totem Falls has the best last day of school traditions. The whole school goes on a parade around the neighborhood with the local fire trucks. The neighbors cheer the kids on and throw them candy. Then they go back to school for an end of the year assembly-slide show presentation and all the kids sing a song that was written just for the school. The kids before school with our friend Jennifer Jake and his good friend Brayden

This morning we picked up our baby pug-Lily. She is 8 weeks old and full of pee and vinegar (as George's mom would say). We have been so anxious all week to go get her. Now all the work of potty training begins. But there is nothing like the joy that a puppy brings. We tried getting some pictures of Lily but she was running around and would not stop long enough to get any really good pictures. I think we will have to keep her! A little nap after playing all afternoon.
