Not sure what got into me this summer. Why did I decide to take on so many projects? Not really sure. First project I started was refinishing the kitchen table-oh what a great idea it was until it all went wrong. Luckily my mom help out stripping the table and helping to stain it-until George and I did not like the color. We were unsure what to do so it just sat in the garage for a few weeks. Then George said let's just mix 3 stains together and see what we get and thankfully it turned out well. We went from a honey oak to a dark mocha/cherry oak- only to have Jenna tell us that now the chairs don't match. We are not going to refinish those, we are hoping to find some that might match. While working on the table project the kids came up with the idea to make the side of our house a secret garden (it was just a large weed patch). Ok since George started working at Disney we have been dying to go there and use the season passes that he gets for our family. We can't let a perk like that go to waste. Unfortunately, George could not come with us since he has not accumulated enough vacation time. He's saving what he has for Ironman Canada which is in 2 weeks. So, it was a quick trip to go see the Mouse and of course George's mom, sister and cousins. We had 3 days packed full of Disney fun.
