Last night Jake received his yellow belt in Karate. We were so proud of him. He was a little hesitant about starting karate a couple of months ago. With a little bribery I convinced him to try it with the hope he would find that he enjoyed it. It worked!! He is now talking about earning his blue belt. He was also very resistant about having to wear a gi, lucky his karate teacher did not require one so he just wore his sweats. That is why Jake is the only kid not wearing one. Today he told me he does want to get one now and how soon could we get one. I see that Jake will do things in his own time. I am so happy to see the confidence he has gained from going to karate.

Last Saturday me and Jenna went to one of our favorite things-the American Girl fashion show. I am so glad that Jenna still loves her American Girl dolls and is still young at heart, not so interested in growing up too fast. I hope it stays this way for a while longer. Her two best friends Amanda and Abby went with us, along with one of my friends and her daughter. All us girls all had a fabulous time. We are anxiously awaiting the new American Girl store to open in WA. The only down side to it was it was the same day as Jake's Pinewood Derby. Which I always enjoy but missed the whole thing. (I got there about 1 minute after Jake got his trophy-sad) He did pretty well and won his den and moved onto finals, but did not place in the finals. The Boys being silly Jake's trophy
