Our weekend was pretty busy with the kids activities. We started Friday with Jake's swim meet. He swam the butterfly, IM, breast stroke and was in a relay. He did a great job and has really improved his butterfly stroke.  Saturday Jenna and her friend Isabelle participated in a band competition playing a flute duet. To me they sounded great, although I really know nothing about playing an instrument. They have not gotten back their results yet of how they did. We also had a garage sale and Jenna had a dance performance at her dance studio. Time for some rest.

TRACK On top of everything Jenna does already (Dance, play flute, Girl Scouts, taking honors classes) she is doing track. She has chosen to do the hurdles, long jump, discus and shot put. She is doing great and having a good time. I got hired to coach the discus for the season. It is so much fun working with these kids but challenging as well-trying to teach 30+ kids how to throw in such a limited amount of time. At our meet yesterday, several made personal records and seeing some who had been really struggling have it all come together for them was really rewarding. The only down side to coaching is I have not been able to see Jenna run the hurdles and only got to see her long jump once. So I have no pictures, I am going to have to make George come and take photos. DANCE Jenna's dance competition season wraps up this weekend.
