Today we had our first snow day of the year. The kids were quite excited when we got the call school would be cancelled. It was quite cold this morning at 13 degrees. The roads are a mess-it took poor George over 3 hours to get home last night. I have decided to just relax and enjoy this snow day. We are looking forward to our Disney World trip.

This past week was Jake's cake bake-my favorite thing! George and Jake are always so creative when coming up with what they are going to make. This year Jake decided on a lizard-upon seeing a picture-it was a little intimidating. It used fondant!! We have never used fondant for any cake before. Well, the cake turned out great-Jake loved playing with the fondant. This year the scouts really out did themselves and had some amazing cakes. Here are some pictures.

I have been waiting for so long and hoping that the Harry Potter Exhibit would come to Seattle and it did!!! Ok so I am a big Harry Potter nerd, but I am OK with that. The exhibit was great more than what I thought it would be. But the bummer was they do not let you taek ANY photos.  To begin with Jake got sorted into Hufflepuff by the sorting hat (he was not interested in going but ended up having a good time). We got to go see Buckbeak and  Death eater's and the food served in the Great Hall. I think Jenna's favorite was seeing Hermione's yule ball dress (she always asks me to make her one like it). Jake's favortie part was picking up a mandrake (that screamed at him). I am thinking I might have to go back once more before the exhibit leaves Seattle. Now comes the count down to the Deathly Hallows movie-12 more days!This year Jenna turns 11-I wonder if she will get an invitation to go to Hogwort's.
