Last year my mom made Jake a lizard quilt for his birthday. I promised him last April we would pain his room to match. Well several months later I finally did it. Jake picked a faux finish. This involved lots of work since his room had a wall paper border, was painted bright colors that had to be primed twice. Then had to have a faux finish base coat and then the faux finish (more than I bargained for). I am really happy with how it turned out (even though we ran out of paint with a tiny section left to do.)  Jake's room before was a car theme and bright yellow and blue. 

Last year we did not get any snow and it was starting to look like we would not get any this year also. But on Saturday we woke up to snow and then more snow last night. They are predicting more snow to come (OK that might be a little bit too much snow!) We already have about 8 inches.  Sledding at the park My Snow babies!

For Jenna's 12th birthday she wanted a modeling party. Jenna and her friends walked the runway and modeled different outfits. Jake was glad to be at his friends house for most of the party. Outfit #1 One challenge they were given was to find an outfit that matched a pair of  socks I gave them and model them. This is their group photo. Another challenge was to create an outfit to model using toilet paper and foil.
